Nickel

In its elemental form, nickel is one of the rare earth metals. Its density of 8.9 g/cm³ makes it a heavy metal. Metallurgical processes utilise nickel particularly for its resistance to aggressive media like hydrochloric acid and lyes. Also, nickel as an alloying element enhances hardness, toughness, and ductility.

Nickel and nickel alloys are characterised by high strength and excellent corrosion resistance, in particular at high temperatures, for a wide range of applications.

Details on nickel and nickel alloys can be found on our data sheet, available as a PDF file for download.
